Good Morning. It is a nice morning here too. 70 degrees out and wind blowing some. I think it is to be up in the 80's.

Debbie I saw last night on the weather that you guys were going to get rain today and maybe quite a bit of it. We need it here! LOL Maybe tomorrow night & Tuesday for us. I hope.

Grammy2 I love watching those little ones play any kind of ball. They sure are enthusiastic and you are right, their uniforms are the biggest part about them. LOL Soooo cute!!!!

Sounds like a productive day for most of you. I am fixing to head off to the sewing room to see what I can get accomplished. Been going through books and patterns looking at applique things. I have a wall hanging I have started piecing and I am just winging it as I go with no pattern. I know I want to do some sort of basket in the very center with flowers of some sort, but nothing is just really jumping out at me. I know I want a basket because I found the perfect fabric in a great color that I want to use. So off to look through more patterns & books. I may end up searching the net. And got to do some sewing today too.

I hope you ALL have a wonderful day doing whatever you get to do. Just being able to get up out of bed to do anything I have decided is a true blessing. That is my new outlook today.

Hugs

Hi guys...
Just finishing my coffee before hopping in the shower, and then it is off to the Joanns sale for me... without my kids... woohoo!

Grammy2... it was chilly this morning... I will be digging out my flannel jammies... we have been so used to leaving the upstairs windows open at night we forgot to button it up! Well I woke up with icicles on my eyelashes! LOL! But it does look like it will be a nice sunny day!

I'll pop back in later and check in on the goings on...

Cheers!

DH is going to be gone most of the day, so I get to sew in peace. He keeps sticking his head in the sewing room to see if I'm OK. I know he love me, but geesh.
Yesterday I was running out to get my BOMs and he decided to go w/ me.
Said he wanted to be with me and if all I had to do was in and run out he'd come along. Now, how many of you have ever run in and out of a quilt store??
All that talk of pie last night got me thinking. Has anyone outside of this area heard of chess pie. It's kinda like a thick pecan pie filling w/out the pecans. I have a chocolate one I got at the bakery that is famous for them. Very rich, so can only eat a small slice at a time.
Cant sew and type at the same time. I'll be back later.

hey there.... I am thinking of a plan... tracing coffee cups on fusable then ironing it onto blocks and making something.... either a quilt or a wall hanging.... I will use flowered fabric instead of solid colors....wish me luck.....I really should be finishing the tons of projects I have started..... ugh.

Rosie, I think your DH and mine are related... when mine made my sewing room he also added a chair and end table so he could sit with me.... problem is my back is to him when I am sewing and I have to stop to face him and talk... it is hard to be loved isn't it?

Grammy2, I hope you post a picture of that Nascar quilt.... I would love to see it.

Alina, thanks for mentioning flannel... think I just may put the flannel sheets on the bed today....

Hope you all have a fun day,
Chriss

Hi Everyone!
This is the first place I look now to see what is happening. It is still a little chilly here (66 degrees), but should warm up nicely today. We did have a little wind earlier, but it seems to have died down.

DH and I went to Church, had breakfast then took a nice walk together. I started a load of laundry and need to grocery shop. I would like to cut out more of the quilt I am starting, machine quilt another one, unsew quilting in a third and begin sewing the binding to the back of another. (Rather ambitious day!! LOL)

I keep checking in today to see how everyone is doing.

Hi again...
Sounds like everyone is going to be very productive today:) I was swearing at my machine, so decided I'd take a break!! I have two vertical rows sewn together, and this quilt looks a lot longer than I thought--- but my son is 6'5", so he'll be happy (he'd better be, anyway) -- don't think I'll put as much of a border on it now!!

Some of you were talking about pie!! I may try a new recipe this afternoon, called pumpkin pie squares-- it's the top is basically pumpkin pie, but the crust is made with oatmeal, chopped nuts, and dry butterscotch pudding mix!! Sounded interesting. Going for lunch now:)

Back from church with a stop at Sonic for a hamburger and diet vanilla coke. We all thought at church we may need an Ark to get home! Time to sew, see you all later.

Hi, again, everyone!

quiltnewby05 - what pattern are you using for your quilt?? If your son is 6'5" you'd better make it realllllllyyyyyy long! LOL

I'm still washing fabric...and sparkles...and more sparkles! Also, thought I might as well wash all the new fabric...it's beautiful outside, so I hang it outdoors.

Had to put drops in DH's eyes -- his second catarach surgery is on Wednesday...I'm always nervous...HE is FINE!

I want to sew in the worst way, but I'm tyed to that dumb washing machine!

:0) Joanne
