Your quilt is just beautiful. We learn with every quilt we make, and I feel there are no mistakes, just learning opportunities.

While it is so lovely to look at, you have a remembrance of 911 to go into the future. We all have memories of that day, and yours is just fitting I think. Falling leaves, beautiful colors, and a new beginning promised.

You are all so sweet. You have really touched my heart with your comments. I thought that I might sell it because I couldn't stand the feelings that it would bring up. I have made other maple leaf quilt tops since then and I thought I would just not keep this one. However, I made it out of leftover scraps of tablecloths, dresses, ect., that I had sewn for my family. So it has memories that way too. If I take it to the cabin, the family will look at it and say, "oh that one is from my ...." and that means something to them. So I guess I will keep it after all. Thanks to you all for making it even more meaningful and special. Hugs, Vinae

Vinae, your quilt is beautiful! Maybe you can think of it as a tribute to the firemen and other heroes during that time. It certainly is beautiful and I think it would mean a lot to your family, too.

Vinae - I love your quilt. It is striking on the black background and it is a perfect cabin quilt. I'm glad you decided to keep it because of the family memories associated with the fabrics.
