Rag Quilt

I have been wanting to make a rag quilt, but was going to wait until after I got my Christmas sewing done. Then I ran across some flannel at Pacific Fabrics that just made me drool. So I put me ahead of the Christmas stuff. One row is off pattern but I don't care, it is so soft....

I've never made a rag quilt, guess I should give it a try. Is it hard to do??

That is very pretty. I like the colors. Do you use a batting with the flannel?
