Take 5 with New Amy Butler

Post by SFOQuilter » Sun Sep 28, 2008 6:59 am

I quilted this yesterday and got the binding on last night. I am very happy to report that I didn't touch my rotary cutter on the entire quilt. I used my Accucut Take 5 die along with the 2 1/2 inch (inner border and binding) and 4 1/2 inch (outer border) strip cutters. The middle is all done with 5 different fabrics from Amy Butler's new line called Daisy Chain (the Rose color way). The out border, binding and backing is a 6th from the line and is called Dandelion Field Rose.

Thank you everyone. And by the way, as to the cost of Amy Butler fabric, I NEVER pay retail. I recently took advantage of 25% off all quilting fabric on fabric.com and stocked up on Amy Butler (and others) for around $6.70 yard, then got free shipping on top of it. That's not too bad considering it goes for up to $10.98 a yard in some LQS. Since I've started selling quilts on Etsy and doing custom orders I need to squeeze out every penny I can for profit:) So I only buy on sale!! :)
