Sign me up. If you don't mind, I'd like to substitute this star.

I'm concerned about my points on the Old Maid's Puzzle in the remaing time, but I can definately do HST and flying geese.

Since there is two others willing to help you out, just let one of them do it. When I saw this, I was planning to try out the pattern and see how long it would take me to do one. In the next few days, I will have a slow period at work (I think). Usually the first week and the last week of the month are the busiess for me.
I do have several other problems that may make it hard for me to do the block. I lived on the side of a mountain. Joann is 50 miles away. My favorite quilt shop is over 45 minutes in good weather away. We do have a new quilt shop that opened over a month ago, but I am not sure about it yet. I called and asked it they have white on white fabric and there is not a single piece in the shop. They are not sure when it will be in. I hear from several other ladies that there really is not much fabric in the store and there is very little varity.
So I think it would be better if one of the other ladies do it. Maybe I can join something later. I just figured that maybe I could help you out of a jam.

Welcome to knitnoid! And thank you minniewolf and dforseth for also considering helping out. I'm so glad we could get a replacement so fast!

We have 5 weeks to finish all our blocks. Please post every so often to let us all know about your progress on your blocks. Thanks!!!

Thanks for letting me swap out the block. This eveningI started working on the blocks and have about 1/2 of them cut out. I've got one finished. While I was out running around this afternoon I looked for some additional red fabric. I was surprised at the lack of 'true' reds avaiable. Tomorrow I'm going to get my niece and on the way home we'll stop by another quilt shop. i hope to start her on her first quilt and while I'm there I'll be on the look out for some additional red fabric.

I'm hoping to get my blocks finished this weekend....at least I'm gonna try!! I've learned one thing from this swap......the "Girl's Favorite" is definitely not this girl's favorite!!!!! This block has really given me fits and I'll be glad when they're done!

I tink you made a good choice on the replacement person. Maybe next time I will get to join you and have more time to make my blocks.

Thank you for considering me.

Sarah, I got your beautiful blocks! They will be a lovely part of the second quilt. Wow, you are fast!!! I hate to admit it, but all I've done is collect (and fondle) fabric and stare at the pattern to be sure I understand it. I've got to get started cutting and sewing. I am beginning to feel like this swap is really underway!

Since I've been on vacation this week, I've had plenty of time to work on my blocks. I should get them in the mail by mid-week.
