I finally took pictures. I haven't made a Nelson's Victory block yet, and I think I'm just going to skip the applique blocks. But I decided I needed a regular Nine Patch block, and I then I made two others to make up for the missing applique blocks -- a Split Nine Patch and a Four Patch Nine Patch.

I reused some of the fabrics in the blocks for the Split Nine Patch and Four Patch Nine Patch to be sure they would all kind of blend. Marilynsgrammy -- if you look in the bottom left corner of the top right four patch, you'll see a tiny piece of my ugly fabric from last year. (And I'll probably work in a small patch of this year's 'ugly,' too. Ahh, memories......)

I'm about half-way done with my applique. I changed my mind about which pattern to use, and decided to go with a "crazy" heart applique. I've got to add my embellishments, then I'll post a picture.
