I saw a bow-tie quilt made of neckties just yesterday at the Oklahoma State Fair. It was very, very nice. Jo Ann

Hi there,
If they're thin fabrics, rayon or silk - remember to use light weight iron-on interfacing to give the fabric strength and to help stabilize the pieces when sewing them together. Once you put the interfacing on the back side of the ties, you can use just about any quilt block pattern you like. I'd stay away from set-in points and such. The Ohio Star and Rail Fence look real good out of ties.
