Post by astitchintime » Sun Sep 07, 2008 6:20 am

Good Morning All~
It is so much cooler today, only 76 degrees. I will be here most of the morning and then will be off to a bbq with friends this afternoon but will be back before supper. I hope there are some of you still around then. I am working on UFOs today, DH is thrilled to hear that. What are all of you working on?? Happy stitching!! Debi

Hi Lori.......I'll be here off and on today. I started a big pot of homemade spaghetti sauce early this morning & I'm letting it simmer all day. Thinking about making some type of dessert, too but haven't decided on that yet. Hope you have fun at the bbq.

:)

Good Morning Debi and MeQ.

It was overcast earlier this morning, but now the sun is back out.
Temps will be in high 80's WooT, perfect for beach weaher and body surfingaround sun set time.

We'll be in my quilt room most of the day setting the panthograms and Juki back up again.

Jeff and PepperDawg are still sleeping. Oopsk, I hear the shower running, so I better get my coffee and stinking thinking on the patio before this day will steamroll through.

Hey y'all,
Finished a gift for a friend this morning, a Service Flag. Her son goes to Iraq before the end of the year :-( It's all packed, addressed and ready to go. Hope she likes it.

Goofed off some more and made a square out of some of the Victory Quilts FQs...turned out cute! I may make it into a potholder.

Still sitting here in my pj's with bedhead...VERY rare for me at this hour. I have to be at work at one, so I am off to the shower so my hair can air-dry before I go in. Glad it's just a 4 hour shift and I won't miss dinner and bedtime.

Hi all... just popping in to see what everyone is doing... I slept in for the the first time in a long time... I just crawled outta bed about 11:15! Wow it felt great!!! Erik took the boys out for breakfast and were watching movies quietly downstairs when I came down... they are never quiet so it was a nice surprise!!! Anywho need to get moving and get working on my BOM for Eleanor's class Tuesday!

Susannna- How is your BOM going...

Mequilter- Yummy I love homemade spaghetti sauce

Debi- Enjoy your BBQ...

Carin- My sewing room looks like a bomb went off also... and it seems I just cleaned it early last week... I don't know what happened... hmmm!

Carol- Sorry you have to work but glad it is a short day for you!

Well boys are no longer quiet so that is my cue to log off!!!

Happy sewing to you all!

Cheers!

popping on to say HI..

Carin...why would you get a black eye at church?

I am exhausted. A friend from NYC is visiting. He was a foreign exchange student in 1972 from Germany and lived with John's family. He emigrated to the US about 10 years ago and is the director of heart Transplant Research at Columbia Hosp. in NYC. He is here on a lecture tour for a new blood test he developed to test for heart transplant rejection risk. He is a wonderful man but conversations with him can be intellectually draining. We have talked abut philosophy, cultures, religion and the environment. John and Mario just left to go for a walk at the wetlands, I opted to stay home and relax with a book. Of course the book I am reading is anything but a light read...I am re-reading The Sunflower by Simon Wiesenthal maybe I should grab the Sunday Funnies instead :)

TY MeQ, yes I would Love to receive the bc quilt.
Marsha will be the tickled Pink when she receives that one.

*CJ* hope you make it back in here after work.
Glad it's only a 4 hour shift.

CarIn, so glad your eye did not turn black.

Alina :) my friend, happy for you you got to sleep in.
I'm sure you're happy to have Erik back home with you.
I worked some more on my BOM project and came up wit yet another version of that pattern. All tthe 1/4 blocks are made, but now I have trouble of deciding how to put it together.

Okay, off to my quilt frame with my Butt and jeff's help with the quilt frame.

All of you, Mama Parker is getting us riled up to go help our Queen Peach out. LOL, of course I am creating a list of participants, their functions and what each will be bringing. It is under "back into the saddle again" post by GP.
