In your free pattern there is a pattern I believe is called dreamcatcher. It's a southwestern looking block. My problem is it doesn't have instruction for the blocks around the center one. Could you help me?

Hi Brenda,
The Dream Catcher pattern is for a 28" x 28" wall hanging. There are no other blocks for the pattern.

Very pretty pattern. You could do this as a quilt with all large blocks. Add a 2 or 3 inch shashing between the large blocks. If I were doing this I'd use solid black for sashes, as it would set off the other colors well. If added size is needed just add a border too.

I like this pattern also. I want to do it in southwestern colors like aqua, light rust and med. browns. You could use the main block as a medallion for the middle of your quilt and maybe do some flying geese pointed away from the center.
Let us know what you decide, I would like to see other options.

Here is a pic of the one that I made from the pattern. I gave mine to my Mom for a table topper.

Your discussion made me wonder about the setting options for this block. So I decide to play with the design last night.
If you set it together without sashing, and remove the outside 1/2 of a block, setting it together so that the circles touch.... You have a variation of the Tennessee Waltz pattern, with flying geese for half of the plain areas...
Really striking!
