I just refolded most of my stash to fit in paper boxes (the kind copy paper comes in). I used the backing cardboard from an 8 1/2" by 11" pad of paper to wrap them around. The boxes aren't beautiful, but they are all the same and will keep my fabric clean and out of the sun. Five boxes (all different sizes) of fabric are now in three of them and my blue fabric is refolded because it was a mess. Later when I did a drawer full in an other box for my daughter, I set the box on end, that kept the pieces from sliding down until it was full.

Sewbug, I love your design wall idea; I am just itching to get one of my own!! The attack-trained, stash-guarding kitty is a nice feature as well; I am hoping for a canine variety, rather than feline (DH has severe allergies, otherwise I would have BOTH!).

Your sewing room is nice with all the storage and fabric! Your kitty is sweet guarding the stash! Design wall is a plus!

I think I need a guard kitty! I like the white shelves, it makes the fabric look even prettier. I have a lot of baskets too with fabric so I cal pull out the ones I want.

I love the pics, some great ideas in the comments too. Thanks for sharing. I am taking over my family room because no one uses it and that is where my HQ16 is going. So the organizational ideas will be great in there. I am keeping my smaller sewing room too and will be able to get better organized in there too. Happy stitching!! Debi
