It is a very pretty quilt. The colors are so well balanced. Someone is going to enjoy curling up with this lapquilt!

Thanks for the compliments.
LynnS, the pattern calls for using 13 fat quarters for a lap quilt and I divided it up into 5 pinks, 1 purple, 4 blue, 2 green and 1 yellow (center squares). I used an assortment of prints, tone on tone and 1 solid to come up with this color scheme.
I chose my busiest print that was a princess fabric with tuorqoise(sp), purple, yellow, and green and then I picked fabrics that matched those colors and tones. It was really lots of fun putting it together and so very easy.

Re: UPDATE - My first Tossed Nine Patch FINISHED
I just started to make one like this with the patriotic charms from the swap we just finished up. It is going to be one of the lap size donation quilts that the participants sent in two extra packets of charms for. I hope to have at least one finished before veterans day but we will see. Thanks for sharing the pics, it has motivated me to finish this one and post a pic too. Happy stitching!! Debi

Your quilt is amazing. I tried fooling around with some fabrics for a tossed nine patch, but felt more like I should toss them up in the air and hope for the best. I love your colors and the way you positioned then squares. Your border, binding and quilting is lovely.
