I've already signed up for this one, for clarification, I figured I could use all my ocean-y scraps and applique lighthouses on the applique blocks. So I guess you are right DJ the theme would be lighthouses!
Got a little of a lot of seaside type prints and sandy looking beige. Plenty to make 9-patches, but not enough for a complete quilt top, and by using some sashing it won't matter if they don't all match.
Seems like a good plan to me.

I think the message was for Mary (Checkers) but you know how it is 'Great minds think alike' amd with the same first name it is confusing.
I wonder how both our tops will come out with the same theme idea.

Sorry, I can't decide what I what to do.

DJ, will the applique blocks be suitable for fussy cutting???

I'm thinking about florals, I'll let you know.

I have a question, please... What is an "applique blocks with a twist"? I'm loosing my English, I'm not following here... I don't know what it means. :-|

Denise, I'm curious about that too! :-)

I have decided on my theme--- Hearts--- and as for colors, I'm thinking pinks and red (or maybe pinks and browns- IF I have enough browns).

Can't wait to get started!

OK I am finally going to use these. I have been hoarding them for over a year now, not wanting to cut them. I have 1 yard pieces of each.

I love your fabric Ruth!!!!

I was showing my company some of the lilacs on dark background that I bought last year for a project for myself. I had made a lap quilt for my mother using that and wanted to make myself a Delectable Mountain with it.

DD3 used some (most) of it for her first quilt one day when I wasn't home, and I couldn't locate any more locally. I am going to use what is left for another project though, I love that print!
Do you by chance have the name of it, so I can try to find some more?

I would love to sign up for this. I can not promise I will finish, but I will try. This is the first time I made a mystery quilt. A couple of questions! About how much fabric would I need? About how many colors or different fabrics do I need? I need help here!
