I love the look of lattice strips and cornerstones. The first setting really doesn't give your eye a place to rest and the block designs don't really show up much. The second setting really adds some order to the quilt and makes all the work put into your blocks really stand out. I hope this helps.

I definitely like the second picture, the sashings make the blocks pop out at you.
