I think that is pretty close but there was no cabbage...I think I will try this next year when the tomatoes start coming on the plants.... thanks for your help....

Here is my Granola recipe. I found it in a La Leche League news letter in 1975. It was sent in by Amy(: So I have been making it for 33 years(oh dear).
Simple Granola
1/2 c oil
1/2 c honey
1/4 c b sugar
1T vanilla
Heat these in a large pan for 3 or 4 mins on a boil. I use a roasting pan.
Remove from the heat and add
7c rolled oats
1c wheat germ
1/2t salt
1/2c almonds
1/2 coconut
Other things I add(it just depends what I have on hand)sunflower seeds,sesame seeds, rice crispies(if am a little short on oats). Add what ever you like. I put the raisins & cranraisins in when the granola is cooling.
I bake it in A 350' oven. Stir every 10/15mins until it is light brown. Browns fast.
When cool store in air tight containers.
MMMMMMmmmmmmmm eat by the hand full~~anytime. Real good with yogurt and fruit.

NOT YO' MAMA'S BANANA PUDDING
(recipe courtesy Paula Deen)
Ingredients:
* 2 bags Pepperidge Farm Chessmen cookies
* 6-8 bananas, sliced
* 2 cups milk
* (1) 5 oz. box instant French Vanilla pudding
* (1) 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened
* (1) 14 oz. can Eagle Brand condensed milk
* (1) 12 oz. container Cool Whip topping
Directions:
Line the bottom of a 13x9x2" dish with 1 bag of cookies and layer bananas on top.
In a bowl, combine the milk and pudding mix and blend well using a hand-held electric mixer. Using another bowl, combine the cream cheese and condensed milk together and mix until smooth. Fold the Cool Whip into the cream cheese mixture. Add the cream cheese mixture to the pudding mixture and stir until well blended. Pour the mixture over the cookies and bananas and cover with the remaining cookies. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
Yield: 12 servings
Oh my gosh, ya'll, this stuff is "Slap Your Mama Good!" (my mama is without her computer right now so that's why I can get away with saying that right now! ROFLOL!)

3 pkgs. budding ham (chopped)
Mix the cream cheese till soft, and onions and 2 pkgs of chopped ham. Shape in ball on serving plate-use last bag of ham and press small pieces to cover the cheese ball.It looks better for a formal party.
Otherwise just leave in a bowl and serve.

Here's my favorite for Hashbrown casserole. Leave the potatoes in the fridge overnight to thaw before using.
Hashbrown Casserole
1 (2 lb) package of frozen hashbrowns (shredded or cubed)
1/2 cup chopped vidalia onion plus a little butter to saute in
1/4 cup (4 tablespoons) butter, melted
1 (8 oz.) container sour cream
1 (10.75 oz) can condensed cream of chicken soup (don't add water)
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (this is one package)
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
Topping:
Another 2 to 4 tablespoons butter, melted
1 1/2 cups corn flakes
1/2 cup canned fried onions (like you use for green bean casserole)
Thaw the potatoes. Saute the onions in a little butter (not the 1/4 cup) until soft. Mix all of the first 8 ingredents together in a bowl. Spread this into a 9x13 pan.
Mix the cornflakes and melted butter together. Spread over the potato mixture. Top with the fried onions.
Bake, covered, at 350F for 40 minutes.
Yummy!

Here's something to use up all the green tomatoes at the end of the year...
Sweet Relish
20 medium green tomatoes
8 apples
6 green or red peppers (red makes it look nice)
8 onions
Grind all of the above
In a big pot, mix following
1 quart vinegar
5 cups of sugar
1/2 tablespoon cinnamon
1 tablespoon pepper
3 tablespoons salt
Heat and bring to a boil and then add all of the 1st ingredients...Simmer for 30 minutes and then jar...I usually try to drain it so you don't end up with alot of liquid in the jar....
Makes the house smell soooo good while cooking and is very yummy on burgers etc.

GP that pudding has been a favorite at our house for a yr now. Isn't it out of this world? Oh my I could eat 1/2 a pan!!!!!!!!! Not at 1 sitting because it is so rich.LOL Man it is yummmmmmy. Finally a dessert thast all of our 4 kids, their spouses & all 6 grands will eat. That speaks volumes! LOL
