Just wanted to say, I tried Georgia Peaches reciepe for peach cobbler on Saturday. Took it to a church dinner on Sunday. Dish came back empty! It tasted great! Peach pie is one of my favorite desserts. I'm going to make it again this week.

I've been on a low carb diet and here is the best dish I've made:

Chicken Rotel w/Broc. and Califlower (terrible spelling)

velveta cheese lg box
2 cans rotel- mild
4 or 5 chicken breast
bag of frozen broc. and califlower

boil chicken until done; melt cheese and rotel in microwave, steam cook broc and califlower in microwave. debone chicken, cut or pull apart into bite size pieces and mix everything together.

It sure was great!

Does anyone have receipes for Gluten-Free cooking. My DH has celiac disease and can't have any wheat product, includes malt and rye. I am always looking for something new for him. I found a receipe for graham crackers and tried them this past weekend, really good. Please share if you have anything.

Evie - thank you so much for the web site with receipes they look great - and since I have already invested the huge amounts of money for all the special ingrediants I can try some of these right away. What a surprise my DH will have.

Here's a couple of my favorites. Hope you enjoy them!!

PECAN FUDGE SHEETCAKE
1 Pkg. Duncan Hines Moist Deluxe Devil’s Food Cake Mix
½ C. butter or margarine
¼ C. plus 2 T. milk
¼ C. unsweetened cocoa
1 lb. confectioners sugar (3 ½ to 4 Cups)
1 t. vanilla extract
¾ C chopped pecans
Preheat oven to 350. Grease 15 ½ x 10 ½ x 1 inch pan. Prepare cake mix according to pkg directions for original recipe. Pour into pan. Bake at 350 for 20 to 25 minutes or until toothpick inserted into center comes out clean. For frosting, place butter, milk & cocoa in medium saucepan. Stir on low heat until butter is melted. Add powdered sugar & vanilla, stirring until smooth. Stir in pecans. Pour over warm cake & let cool completely.
(For best results, allow the cake to cool undisturbed until frosting is set, about 4 hours).

SLOW COOKED PEPPER STEAK

1 ½ - 2 lbs. Round Steak
2 T. oil
1 C. chopped onion
¼ t. pepper
¼ C. soy sauce
1 garlic clove
1 t. sugar
½ t. salt
¼ t. ground ginger
1 16-oz can tomatoes
2 lg. green peppers (cut into strips)
½ C Cold water
1 T. cornstarch

Cut beef into 3 x 1 inch strips - brown in oil. Transfer into crockpot. Combine next 7 ingredients & pour over beef. Cover & cook on low for 5-6 hours, or until meat is tender. Add tomatoes & green peppers, Cover & cook on low for one more hour. Combine water & cornstarch to make a paste - stir into liquid & cook on HIGH until it’s thickened. Serve over rice or noodles.

DILLY BEEF ON BUNS (sounds strange but it's really, really good!!)

1 Boneless beef chuck roast (3 - 4 lbs)
1 16-oz jar whole dill pickles with juice
1 jar of chili sauce
2 cloves minced garlic

Cut roast in half & place in crockpot. Add jar of pickles with juice, chili sauce & garlic. Cover & cook on low for 8-9 hours. Discard pickles - remove roast & shred with two forks. Return to crockpot & heat through. Using slotted spoon, fill buns with about ½ C meat mixture.
