I think your quilt is just perfect. I have admired the Twin Sisters pattern and story ever since I saw it on one of Eleanor's shows. Even though I am a very beginning quilter (and not a very good one) I bought the book just so that I could look at the wonderful photos of the different versions of it and read over and over again the story. I am not a judge of color or fabric, but I want to say, that after reading the story of the Twin Sister's quilt, yours captures the charm and grace of the story. One day I will own a Twin Sisters. Don't know how or when, as I know it won't be me that makes it, but I will. I am intrigued by it. Your quilt is lovely, you should be very proud of it. Thank you for sharing the photos. I am house bound with a broken ankle and loving your photos and talents.

Chrissy - even a very beginning quilter such as yourself can make this quilt. It is so easy if you just follow El's instructions. Thanks for the lovely comments. I hope your ankle is well soon.

Well I am not to sure about that :) I had a hard enough time figuring out Turning 20 and Chunky bloomers, and they are just a few square and rectangular shapes. Are you going to quilt this yourself? Thanks for sharing the photos

Yes, I will quilt it myself. My BFF needs to come over and use the quilting machine for a quilt she needs done by mid-Sept. so I don't want to tie up the machine. This Twin Sisters quilt is for her, my BFF, for Christmas so when she comes over I will have to hide the quilt top - LOL. Soon as she's done I'll get this on the frame and get it quilted.
