Re: 10' Christmas Fabric swap -Reds,Greens, Light Golds -**CLOSED** Due Nov 15 to Beth
Hi Ladies,
Gosh, stay off the computer for one day and the world turns upside down almost... just kidding.. we have added 4 new people and had one drop out for a good reason... so we are now at 19 signups...
I don't want this to get overly expensive for anyone so in thinking it over. I'm wondering if I should close signups at 20. Does anyone have feelings about this?? If we stop at 20.. for the red and the gold you will need 1 1/2 yds of fabric and the green you will need 3 yds of fabric. This is only my second time hosting a swap and my first is the Halloween, so let me know if I am doing something wrong.
Answering a few questions... It doesnt matter if you have one or two different greens. Use what you have in your stash if you can...
** you can have subtle patterns, drawings, filigree, etc. on your fabric it doesnt need to be a solid color... ie my tan/ has a sparkle of gold with pine cones ( just stay away from big juvenile figures and santas etc.
** adding a 1/2 cup of vinegar to the rinse cycle will help the reds especially from running anymore.. I usually add it to both cycles just to make sure.. I also dont wash the red with anything else until I have done this treatment.
** Remember these are not due to me until NOV 15 you have almost 2 months to cut and send them..

Hi all
Sorry to have to say but I am going to have pass on this one after all.
Due to the change in jobs and the move to Idaho and some unforseen finacial issues I feel that I need to pass.
I hope that this doesnt cause too much confussion or inconvinience.
Thanks Beth for all you do.

OK Nana No problem good luck with the move to Idaho and the new job and so on... Idaho isn't too bad a place to live, just beware the snow stays on the ground and roads instead of melting away pretty fast like it does in the Springville area... my sister lives in Idaho Falls what part of Idaho will you be moving to?

20 is good. It does start to get pricey. Seems like the Christmas fabrics are more expensive than year round fabric.

Thanks Sandi for the math lesson. I'll have to get cracking on this as I've got about 2 or 3 quilts, (like most of us) to get started and done by Christmas. No pressure right?!?!?
