More Table Runners

Post by SharonG/FL » Fri Aug 08, 2008 4:52 am

Linda said I should post more pictures so this is for her. lol This is Aunt Sharon's BHH project for this year. I've determined that my nieces and nephews (and their kids) will remember me as long as they live if I give them all the same things at Christmas. As in, remember the year Aunt Sharon made us all fleece hats for Christmas? Bless Her Heart. So far I've done the fleece hats and pillowcases..this year will be table runners and toothbrushes for the kids.

Very cute idea! I was wondering what "BHH" meant, but I think I figured it out as I read on. :) They are all nice, but my favorite is the middle one-those appliqued flowers are so darn cute! Thanks for sharing.

LOL Sharon - Bless her heart! Your table runners are all pretty but I like the one with the flowers best. It looks like spring/Easter.

Thanks everyone. The Springy/Easter one are some blocks I was learning to applique and decided not to leave them in the Orphan Block Box so put them to use. One thing I do on the runners is cheat for the binding. I like a binding look but I also like to do 'birth' method so I cut a narrow strip of fabric doing my best to match the backing and still look good for the front and sew it on. I then sew it to the backing and birth! Easy, eh? The carrot I'm working on has to be orange on front and black on back because it's reversible. I have it almost done and I think it's gonna work! WHEW!!!!

They all have lap quilts and baby quilts for kids, so this is just something fun to do.
