Sue went to Oakland with us on Saturday, and today I took her to the airport to say goodbye. Okay, well, it was actually the Post Office, but they might be putting her on a plane. She is on her way east and north of me. She is traveling 'priority mail' so she should arrive at her destination in two or three days.

Here is Sue with my husband and I in Oakland, CA, standing next to a marker about one of the first ships bringing settlers to Yerba Buena -- now known as San Francisco. Behind us you can see Oakland and San Francisco. It's a little hazy. On a clear day you can see the skyline of San Francisco, the Oakland Bay Bridge and even the Golden Gate Bridge from here.

Sue is resting quietly after being chauffered to a quilt show today. We also stopped at a couple of places to give everyone a pictorial tour of Wisconsin. Will be posting the pictures in a little while. She did meet with one of her cousins at the show & we had a hard time getting her to leave.

A two-fer! Cool! We got two QIAD ladies at one time! And a mouse and a cow. And a baaaaad Sunbonnet Sue in jailhouse stripes with a ball and chain. Gotta watch out for that cousin.

OMG!! I just realized that I made her backwards! She is facing the wrong way, isn't she???? No wonder she is taking her time, she has to go backwards!
