Sounds like fun and I think I can work it in between projects.
Do you want the blocks to all be a consistent size? It seems that it would make sense if they were.

No, the blocks arent all the same size...its up to the recipient.. they will send me a description of what they want which I will pass along...I have nothing to do with the blocks except to pass on the list of birthdays and what everyone wants made...you dont have to make the blocks all at onnce...just in time for the birthday

Caroline, this is a GREAT idea! I would love to join! Just one recommendation for everyone, maybe we should keep in mind when choosing our block, that we shouldn't choose anything TOO difficult in case there are any new quilters in the group.

Bama Girl,I already did mention asking for "beginner friendly" blocks,,,,yes,its important so its a do able project for all. I also want to mention,,,USE FROM YOUR STASH as much as you can...this is an inexpensive swap as you dont have a lot to send each month. I am able to send a block and a card for a buck,,,so thats not a lot ,even if you had two or three birthdays a month...and cards are not required,,,a note is ok. Its up to you on that.
