I thought I would report my progress and bring this back to the top at the same time. I have everything cut out and the saucers are sewn. I have finished four. I am sewing mine by hand and need to starch and press the pieces of the cup. I will get that completed today and tomorrow and sew one every day. I should be fine.

I have all my backgrounds cut out and hopefully get them sewn up today. Then the fun begins! I have several fabrics washed and iron to start playing with to see what looks best for the cups and saucers!

Anyone else enjoying playing with their fabrics?

I need to get back to this...the saucers are not fun ;( they seem a little off to me but once they are done I am sure they will be fine. I have 2 done!!!!

and oh you ladies are going to drool when you see Buttercups Blocks! they are wonderful!

I have completed 7 blocks. This is my first attempt at hand applique and I hope you are as pleased with them as I am. I think I may redo the topmost one. (I think the handle looks funny.)Carol

Thank you for the comments! I have the other five blocks ready to sew the cups, the saucers are completed. I should be on time for this swap and mail them on September 29th to arrive by October 3rd.

Hello!

My blocks are in the mail! Haven't figured out the whole posting photos thing, though. Sorry about that, everyone! I guess you'll just have to wait to be surprised when you receive them in October. I am so impressed with the photos that have been posted by others that I feel certain we will each end up with a lovely teapot curio quilt when we're finished.
