Thank you so much!

I think the thing that makes this quilt special is all the different fabrics-- that's the nice thing about taking part in the charm swaps--you get SO many different fabrics. I've got tons of charms from other swaps that I am anxious to make something with.. It's a lot of fun! :-)

Well, I *finally* got around the getting the basting done this week, and now I'm *finally* getting to start the quilting. It seems to be going pretty quick-- I sure wish I could get it finished in time to enter it in the county fair. I'm hand quilting it, and they love to have as many hand-quilted quilts as possible..

Now I'm trying to think of a name for it.. not coming up with many ideas right now... I remember seeing one named "Third @Wek in October" or something like that, but I can't remember for sure... Any ideas? :-)

Beautiful quilt! And you already have the name, it's in the Sun Bonnet Sue block! Perfect!

Wonderful quilt but I gotta tell you the story. As I am surfing the site this morning, I see I havent' read about this swap, (Not sure why it was light blue) Of course, I don't notice the original date. So, I decide to look into it to see what it entails, not a lot of time right now but maybe if it is not sewing I can do it. Imagine my horror when I see my name already there and my charms have been received! Not only do I not remember signing up, I don't remember mailing the charms! Then it all clicks that this is an old swap! Oh my gosh!

LOL, WE! :-) I can surely see how this could happen--- I've got TONS of charms and blocks from swaps that are patiently waiting for me in the sewing room... The only problem is that I keep coming up with new quilts that I just HAVE to try! My latest obsession is "Fabulous Fractures" by Brenda Essilinger. The one I LOVE is an oriental design with a beautiful Siamese cat appliqued on it-- designed by Darcy Ashton... Oh, and also, I've got Darcy's "Darling Little Dogs" book that I *really* want to start. It's all appliqued dogs-- SO cute...

So many quilts... so little time... ;-)
