oooh, nice patterns, Gwen! Thanks for sharing them. I like that one with the rake too. I might go for that-it looks quick & easy. :)

That's what I was thinking, Lori. I think I'll cut the charms into 4 inch squares. They'd go together FAST, then just applique the rake and leaves on the outer border... quick & easy! :-)

BamaGirl/Gwen - nice patterns. I LOVE the McCalls block.

Anyone else have some blocks/patterns to share?

Carol

P.S. I like the versality of the 8" blocks, too. You can use several ways.

I really like that block too, Carol... It was on my list of possibilities for the Birthday Block swap. It would be gorgeous done in Fall colors!

I am so excited about this swap! For the past several years, we have traveled to the Blue Ridge Mountains in October to see the Fall leaves, and the colors are so amazing that they just take your breath away! I LOVE Autumn! :-)... The cool crisp evenings are such a relief after the hot, humid Summer! ... camp fires, snuggling under a nice warm quilt.... Ahhhhh!!!

Found some nice fabric at the LQS for this so picked some up. I think you all will like it.

Count me in on this one. My DH and I are just back from a week long stay at the Univ. of MN Hospital where he had major surgery and I got the binding sewn down on a large queen sized quilt. I think I got the better end of that deal. Anyway, I'll be stuck at home with post op rehabilitation, so I might as well cut some squares. Susan

Sign me up, too. I guess I just can't pass up fall colors. They would be really pretty in a table runner using the pattern my summer surprise partner, mequilter, sent me.

Gwen, thanks for the pattern ideas. I also love the rake applique, it doesn't seem too difficult to just design yourself and not have to purchase a pattern.
