Re: Rosebud Wreath
I can't see any other way to quilt it except FM or on a LA. Another would be to tie it. One good way to tie it is if your machine will do it is like a bartack. That way you don't have thread sticking up on the front. I don't think stitch in the ditch would look to good. Just my opinion.
You can draw different shape lines on the quilt with an erasable pencil and follow them.
I think whatever you do it will be a hit because it is already beautiful.

Very pretty! I think I would look for a stencil for the middle-it's just asking for some extra quilting there. It's not too hard to follow a traced design-just go slow and breathe.

It is very pretty! How big is it? Any chance you could do hand quilting on it in time?

Re: Rosebud Wreath
I have decided I have to handquilt it. I'm going to put a feathered wreath in the center and four short feathered pieces in front of each of the corner rosebuds. It's just that's all I'll be doing for a month. I have tried and tried to machine quilt, I'm never happy with it and I don't want to ruin this wall hanging. It is for a contest on another forum and I'm giving it to my daughter whose middle name is Rose for her hope chest.

I totally agree that this one is calling for hand quilting, that is very beautiful and will be very special for your daughter.

Your wall hanging is beautiful and I am sure it will be even more lovely once you have finished the hand quilting.

momof6 - a feathered wreath in the middle and at the corner rosebuds would be beautiful. Can you finish that in time?
