The Latest Round...storm damage

We had horrible winds last night, (IowaGal posted in Chit Chat) and I thought I'd post a couple of pictures I took today:

This is the town I have to go through to get to work (for one more week, anyways!)

If you're wondering how strong the wind was, this has 2 steel uprights that were holding this billboard up:





Weather is saying we might have a repeat tonight, and I pray we don't! The storms woke us up, but we thought it was just the thunder and lightening, because our weather radio didn't go off!

Keith just called, he has more pictures of storm damage from last night - silos twisted and down in the field next door. When he gets home, I'll post those.

we had 98 mph straight line winds. Whether it be a tornado or straight line, winds that high cause a lot of damage. At our place we didn't have this, we had maybe 60 mph, we didn't lose power anything, but the quad cities really got hammered.
