WOW Lee they are great! I love them. You are so patient to get all these little pieces together to make such beautiful quilts.
And to think I hate scraps...yep I toss them. Or sometimes save a bag for my guild group.

Thank you everyone for your kind comments! It was a labor of love.
I have my second scrap quilt almost ready, I have the rows sewen, I just need to sew them together. It's much bigger then I expected but that's a good thing. I might use the extra fabric for the back again.

Re: Aunty Lee's scrap quilt
this is the first chat I have ever entered I was so inspired. I work at an assisted living center where we recieved a donation from our local guild and we made a Magic tiles quilt( where yes some colours touch and I left them) we have started to cut up our scraps into rails as that was the next free pattern I found. I have a lot of my learning on the internet and a small quilt shop that closed on aug 31.
But Lee I would like to thank you as now we can make real quilts of many colours. Just like yours.
I just need a little more guidance you strip top to bottom, join strips, then around until desired size is reached.

Re: Aunty Lee's scrap quilt
Debra, I'm so sorry I never answered your question, I didn't see it until today. Just after I posted this picture I had a family emergency and had to move back to NY in a hurry.
Anyway, I pieced this particular quilt in horizontial rows. I sewed some together then laid it out on the bed and kept adding squares until it was the size I wanted. When I got to the right size, I simply made all the rows that size and kept adding until I got to the proper length.
I hope this helps you. I hope you'll post pictures of your completed scarp quilts.
God bless...
Lee
