I absolutely love scrap quilts. I am glad to see that someone else uses up their sewing scraps on quilts. In the past I have done a lot of sewing of for my kids and now their kids. I have a habit of taking the remaining pieces of my sewing project and cut squares from the scraps. I use a 2.5, 3.5 or 4.5 square to cut the scraps what ever size fits. Then I use the square randomly in various quilts. Right now on the side I am making blocks for a scrappy Jewel Box Quilt.

Now that's my kind of quilt! I love not having to use a pattern. But I have to admit, for all the lap quilts I've done this way, I've had to lay them out to be sure I liked the look of the colors next to each other before starting to sew.

Lee this is wonderful. I will have to use this as an inspiration. The colors look lovely together. I have ziplock bags I have started saving for a scrap quilt seeing this finished makes me know that it will be worth the wait until I have a big enough stash cut

Lee, that's beautiful!! I can't believe you took all the time to piece out the back as well...I think I'd have run out of patience at that point! Great work!
