Re: Gmann (Ann's) Pictures - Tulip Quilt and Shelter Quilt
Thanks to everyone for your kind comments! The Tuliip quilt is from Potting Shed Patchwork by Nancy J. Martin. I tried to talk Madison into the QIAD's Easy Strip Tulip, but I do let them pick their own pattern, and she picked this one.
First time I tried machine applique using the paper fusible.
The grandkids always challenge me with what they pick, but I usually surprise myself that I can do what they've asked for. Aren't kids wonderful!?!?

Wonderful quilts!! I love both of them. Once I can retire I want to get involved in making quilts for a charity as well as my family.

Both of your quilts are very beautiful! The tulip quilt really has a wonderful sense of color. I love how the colors of the tulips are enhanced by the nine patch. I especially like the green "sashing". The border around the tulip squares.

Ann, your quilts are so pretty! Your Tulips look like a perfect noodle quilt 2me
) Can I see a close up of the thin trim between the blocks? I love the detail, very cool.
The quilt using the challenge fabric is great! Everything fits together perfectly
