Halloween **8** inch charm swap ** Now CLOSED**

Post by bethstreet » Mon Jul 07, 2008 9:56 pm

Hi All,
I thought I would start the sign up for the Halloween Charm Swap a bit early as I am seeing lots of Halloween fabrics coming into the stores now and you might want to pick some up while doing other things. Where the fabric is bought does not matter as long as it is thick enough that it will produce a quality object. The fabric should be 100% cotton and marked whether it is washed or unwashed.

Please keep to the "cuter" side of Halloween fabrics NO gross green slimy things and so on. Halloween colors are great too, last year I had a piece of beautiful striped fabric with the halloween colors.

Please place 3 8" charms per plastic zip lock bag. Total number of bags needed will be determined by the number of signups that we have. Total number of bags needed is 15.

Please PM me with any questions and for my address.. Signups will close Sept 1,charms due to me by Sept 15 will be sent out no later than Oct 1.
Thanks Beth Street

Beth...I'm OK with either 6" or even 8". I'm easy to please, so I'll go with what majority rules!

I really need 8" squares as I make Halloween quilts for my grandkids, putting the fabric in large jars pattern. Takes way too many if I use a 6" square. Let me know if you go with 8" squares and I'll sign up then. Thanks..Susan

I'll be checking back regularly to see how many we decide to do and the size. Either way is okay with me. I also think that basing the number of bags to send on how many people sign up is a good idea. In another swap I'm in, there were fewer people to sign up, so we ended up sending in fewer bags but more charms per bag, which works out good.
