Tul......so nice to see you here, even if it's just for a couple of minutes. So glad that you're having a good visit with your family!

Let's see, went to church, had lunch, took a nap, tackled my closet a little (more a tickle than a tackle) and now am making some dressing to have w/ leftover chicken and gravy. He want's biscuits which is OK. I love those Pillsbury frozen ones. Can fix just what we need. I've been craving stuffing and will continue to eat badly until I make it.
My sister is jealous and drooling. She lives in southern KY and everyone down there makes cornbread dressing - we're from north eastern KY and are white bread stuffing gals.

About time for DH to call and say he is on the way home. YEAH!!!

Rosie

OH, I do plan to sew this evening. I'll go hide for a while.

Hi All! I am working on a quilt top that was made by my SIL's Grandmother. It needs some repair before it can be quilted.

Tulpje, I am glad your company is there, but also that you are getting a break! So glad to hear you are sleeping like a log. Hugs and Happy Birthday to Jesse!

Carolyn - your talk of the Girl Scouts make me miss those times! I was so active in Scouting until we moved to TN.

And Ruthie - who do you think you're kidding??

We've finally had a 'little' rain (just 1/2" overnight). We need it desperately, but I hate to say that when our Iowa friends are suffering from TOO MUCH rain!

Hope eveyone accomplishes whatever you WANT to accomplish today!

We skipped church this morning. DH has been working 6 days a week 12 - 14 hr. days and he is so tired. He wanted to just stay home and do a few things around here. I cleaned out the pantry then spent the day working on my Tennessee Waltz quilt. Also washed 18 fat quarters that I will use in my next quilt. Watched the Astros game and tried to take a nap. Couldn't sleep because Scooter insists on laying on me when I'm on the love seat - he weighs 20 lbs. - and today I just couldn't get comfy with him on me. I'm going back in there to sew for a while. Wonder what is on TV tonight.

What a great Weekend in Minnesota this has been. We've had the kind of weather that we suffer our winters for! Temps in the mid-70's, plenty of sun and light breezes. Humidity isn't too bad.

Managed to get 95% of my chores done, a couple things I just flat out crossed of the list, cuz I didn't feel like doing them anyway! And I did something I haven't done for YEARS!!!! I actually pulled out the lounge chair and sat outside on my deck! Seriously, I can't remember the last time I did that! Probably because for the last few years I've had to work weekends. Only stayed out for about 1/2 hour, I am not a sun worhsipper and if it gets too hot--I can't handle it. BUT it was nice to even BE outside! Came in to throw in the last load of laundry--smocks for work this week and then I got down to some serious sewing. Made not 1 but TWO tote bags today. Am making a tote bag for each of the gals I work with--technically for Christmas, but 1 for a young gal who is going to Pharmacy School in the fall. 2 down 4 to go!

Needed a break as the neck is a little sore and it's time for supper. HHHMMM what will it be.. Peanut Butter and Jelly? or eggs and toast?

Have a short week because of the holiday and I don't care if gas gets up to $5./gallon... I'm going to my cabin if it kills!!! Have only been there once so far! Have a list started of all the sewing projects I want to take along--as I think I'm going to have the place to myself for the weekend!

Hope y'all have a great week ahead.

Maryq - glad you are going to your cabin this weekend. It looks like such a great place to be.
