Please sign me up. Sounds like fun. My favorite things-30's repro fabric, favorite color-blue but I also like the fall colors. Not a neon or batik person so much. I drink green tea - love Starbuck's. I don't eat candy/choc. We have a small farm so I'm a country girl but have worked for 36 years as a secretary in a college office. My husband retired in February and is loving it. We are going to be first time grandparents in December. Our daughter (our baby) and her husband are expecting a boy. I'm going to retire and take care of the baby and sew/quilt. I can hardly wait. My family calls our house the double stuffed oreo cookie house because I have so much stuff. Not just the normal sewing/quilting stuff but things that belonged to my family members. For example I have a milk can that my aunt and uncle shipped milk in with his name/and stop number written on it. And that is the farm that we own. Things like that - mean so very much to me. I could go on and on with the stuff I have. Junk to some but special memories to me. I like Jim Shore figures, snowmen - just love Christmas and Halloween. I really like these "fancy" pincushions everyone is doing.
OK now that I've written a book I'll stop. Hoping to make a new friend with this swap.

Isn't this the same thing that CindyB is doing with the SP exchange?

I think I would call this bigger than the secret pal exchange. More like stocking stuffers and not so quilty. It's one time only and with a higher dollar amount than SPs. Vicky, please correct me if I'm wrong.

If nothing else, I've enjoyed reading about everyone when they've posted what they like to do, eat, collect, etc. It's like getting to know pen pals.

Should we aim to have them delivered by a certain date and everyone opens theirs on the same day???

This is a one time summer exchange, really a glorified fat quarter swap and something fun for us that are not on the SP list.

I love hearing about everyone.

I think that when the ladies receive their package they should open it then.

I'll start another post later for letting people know their packages were received and Thanks yous. Pictures are always fun so everyone can see what others got.

Check the PM's.

Sue

I love green! It's my favorite color, especially the sages and hunter. 1930's are my favorite type of fabrics or anything tone on tone in whites. I collect old wooden spools of thread. They look so colorful in the old canning jar. Also love homemade potholder and pin cushions. Quilting notions are always nice, pins, needles, marking pens etc. This will be fun!

I'll sign up, too. I love pinks & browns, batiks, 30's prints, almost anything. Not really crazy about bright green or orange & love the jewel tone fabrics. Surprise me! (I love, love, love flamingo's, too......but not on fabric!) Notecards or thread would always be useful also. Love chocolate but with the warm weather, I'd hate to see it melted on the fabric. And, I am a Green Bay Packers fan!
