Friday Sew In......June 27, 2008

I got the quilt trimmed and ready for the binding, but that will have to wait until tomorrow. I can hear my pillow calling my name very loud. I'm glad that I don't have to go into work at 5 a.m. very often.

Tomorrow I am off to Amarillo for the day. We are taking all the kids and grands to have a massave amount of pictures taken.

Tonite was poker night. Didn't do as well as last time I played, but at least I didn't come home empty handed. I'll take more strips next time. We have so much fun, it is definitely a girl's night out.
Told El last week in class that I played strip poker. She looked a little incredulous and asked how it was played. I explained and she thought it was great.
Haven't sewn today, but cleaned up a shelf in the sewing room so I have more room to store some of the fabric that has been breeding in there.
OOOH, here comes DH with cake. Must go.

Hi everyone!
I had a busy day! The laundry is done, the car has new tires and now needs an alignment. I have cleaned house, grocery shopped and have taken a nap. I still have a couple rooms that need attention but most of the work inside is done. i plan on cooking tomorrow morning. I bought some meat for sauce and stew that I can make and freeze. It is still cool here and I thought I would freeze a few meals for when it is too hot. Sounds like a plan anyway! LOL Well That quilt is still over on the other side of the room and needs to be quilted. Talk later!

Fam is underway from the air port. DS#1 did not have his money on him...grrrr and of course needed gas. Fam. lost theirluggage somewhere en route. So I rushed out to get them clean (new) clothes for tomorrow. Picked up a meatloaf dinner for all of us, from Boston market. And a yummy mint ice cream cake from B&R for the B-Day boys. (Bjorn and Jesse)

Jesse called me from the air port..."Oma..Oma...ik ben er" (GrandMa, I am here)

Washer broke earlier this afternoon and flooded my whole garage. Bjorn saved the day and repaired it really quick.

I am SO happy NOT to be home alone for a few weeks.

No sewing for me right now. Hope to have dinner with the family out on our patio. Bjorn is lighting the fire in our fire pit. Torches are allready lit.

Sounds like everyone is haveing a pretty good day. I went out for mexican with my sweetie.

I have my project for my "ugly" cut out I should work on it but here I sit. :O)

I took my DD to her friends for a sleep over tonight. Boy do I miss that 7 year old bundle of joy but I am working at the Quilt shop tomorrow to help with the barn sale so it worked out well. I can get up early, eat a piece of my bananna nut bread I made tonight and go play with fabric all day. then I will get my DD and go to my parents house for tacos. Sounds like a wonderful day to me.

Everyone have a good nights sleep. I am heading there now.
