Iron choices

Post by zzbowman » Wed Jun 25, 2008 11:21 am

I have an old Oreck steam iron that I use (and have for years), but I'm thinking it can't last much longer. I did see the two irons (one travel size) available on this site. Has anyone tried them? Would you suggest these or perhaps another brand?

Thanks in advance,

Barbara Bowman

I have the tiny Rowenta and love it!! Keep it right by my machine with a pressing mat. I also have a regular Rowenta for my ironing; and happy with that too. Can't say enough good about them.

I have the Maytag cordless and the Rowenta travel iron. I use the Rowenta all the time. It is perfect for a small table by the machine to keep from bouncing up and down all the time.

I, too, have the little Rowenta, I love it for piecing and applique. My basic one is a Black & Decker that I have been very happy with for years.

I have a travel Sunbeam iron that I love. It gets very hot, steams, and has a gush of steam too. I use a Black and Decker classic metal one for my big iron. If you see one of those, get it, they aren't being made anynmore!!!!!

I bought a gravity feed iron from ebay. I love how it heats up. Geri
