Oh Pam, I am in tears reading this post. It must have been such a wonderful day with your dad. I'm sure he remember a few things when he saw it. The quilt is lovely and you did a fantastic job making it.
What a nice idea to make lap quilts for all his friends at the home. They will be so thrilled to receive them.
Hugs and love, Kathy

What a great idea to make quilts for the residents at the home. It's very thoughtful of you and I'm sure would mean a lot to them.

This truly brought joy to my heart. My mother died from complications of Alzheimers, but lived a long time with the illness. I had made her a double Irish Chain shortly before she went into the nursing home, but nurses told me to take it home, as it wasn't safe.

I think only of the good times we had together, otherwise, I would be so depressed. She was the most beautiful mother in the world, inside and out and same with my father. We lost him at age 52. 12/26/66 - he was 52 Christmas day - auto accident. I still grieve and mourn over this, as he was so young. I carried a beautiful oil painting of him, smallish, around with me all day fathers day. Do the same at Christmas.

Bless you for what you do!

Hugs

Helen
