Good morning to all. I am going to attempt to finish some squares for the pastel swap with CraftinDJ. I have them cut and everything is ready to go. Now, I need to get in gear and get them done. It is a beauiful day here - so far. We are under a thunderstorm watch in our area. Just perfect. DH and I were planning to ride the motorcycles this afternoon to a meeting locally. I don't do well riding in the rain or at dark. GRRR But, my sewing machine runs great during any kind of weather.

Hey, y'all...
We are meeting FIL and SIL for breakfast at I-Hop. They will be heading to the airport later today.
I needed some sanity time this morning, so I did a bit of hand work on my wallhanging. There were a couple little OOPS spots, so I hand stitched them down, then got out my Fray Check and did some daubing. The bottle flows 'way too fast, so I touched it on using a metal stylus point. Worked much better with a lot more control. I got it on all the edges of my little wolf applique' patch; when it's good and dry, I will hand stitch it down as well.
Don't know if I will get any more sewing time in today; should call the shop and see if they are open on Sundays so I can go pick up my machine, maybe bring in my 401 and the walking foot to figure out what the heck is wrong with it. I am definitely needing some play time with my mechanical girlfriends!
I have so enjoyed my SIL's company these past couple of days; she is such a dear. Having my FIL here is wearing me out, though, as he's rather judgmental, fussy, and uptight. He's always been very kind to me, but he and my DH have a rather strained relationship, so when Pop visits, DH gets all tense...and that spills over on me. What fun.

Good morning! As soon as DH gets down here, we're cleaning the basement. And then, I'll be sewing for the rest of the day. Got a new "toy" yesterday, so we had to make room for it. I'll post a pic of it soon.

Good morning and Happy Father's Day to everyone. Our day started at 3 am this morning -- my DH was called into work due to a prisoner escaped...(DH is a correctional Captain at one of California's fine prisons). So our plans have been canceled for the day. So, I get to now play with my horses, play with my flowers, and finish some quilting projects...yippee, sounds like a great day for me -- too bad DH will sleep through the rest of the day, when he finally gets home.
Ya'll have a wonderful day!! Happy trails, jac

Good morning everyone! Woke up and made DH breakfast for Father's Day. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that his DD will remember what day it is and call him (she forgot last year and he was very hurt). She's 20 and in college and should know better. Anyway, I have a quiet day planned with plenty of sewing I hope. And my little Cocoa Puff is in desperate need of a bath so he may get dunked in the tub. Luckily it takes just a few minutes to bathe him and then dry him with the blow dryer. LOL

we are headed to mom and dads for a bbq with my family. I have to remind my DH to call his dad and he is 36 so I think it just comes from not seeing them as regularly.
