Thanks for all the nice comments. I am so pleased that others like it as much as I did.
To answer some questions:this is where I found the pattern and instructions that I modified for my 'two step'. http://elaineadairpieces.blogspot.com/search?q=rebuilt
Mine is a log cabin block with 2 1/2" (Eleanor) strips and I cut off 2 corners at a 60 degree angle, then turned them,sewed them back on then sliver trimmed the block to square it up.
These instructions call it rebuilt log cabin, the friend who had made one called hers dancing log cabin and had cut all 4 corners like these instructions.
I'd really like to see what others come up with.
