Puzzle balls for autistic children

Post by quilt4tea » Wed Jun 11, 2008 12:00 pm

Hi! I'm new to this forum but not to quilting. I am interested in making puzzle balls for autistic children. My two 5 yr old twin grandsons were diagnosed recently and I made them puzzle balls when they were two. They are still their favorite toys. I used alphabet fabric to spell out their names. Now other parents are interested in them for their autistic kids, too. Anyone interested?

Hi quilt4tea, welcome to this wonderful forum. I'm sure you'll enjoy everything that's here. Be sure to join in some of the swaps or sew-alongs. as to your project, I'm interested but confused. Can you be a little more specific. Is there a pattern? Do you make a ball stuffed with fiberfill? Or? Or? Would we be provided names or just submit letters? Or? or? Maybe a picture would help. Thanks, carol/kittyquilt
