Hi all..........Tul, I did see Oasis's tote picture. Isn't it pretty? One of these days I'll take the plunge and actually try to make one for myself. I've got at least half a dozen patterns here for them, just haven't gotten up enough nerve to actually try it. We had a graduation party to go to and now we're home for the day. Too hot & sticky outside, more rain & thunderboomers on the way.

Hi All! It sure is hot here, not sure of the outside temp but it is almost 90 in the house.
DH left to go back to OH today. Hopefully it'll be his last trip without me. I packed up most of my fabric and my quilting books and sent those down with him. I kept the round robins here but I'll have to go to the LQS tomorrow to get fabric to work on them. I also kept my scrap fabric so I can sort through and cut that when I'm not packing and cleaning. My sewing room looks so bare but when I get to OH I'll have a room just for my sewing things, no sharing with stored things we can't find room for anywhere else.

Hi all,
Normally, I am so jealous of you when you complain over the heat in the summer, because the last two years we've had very cold and rainy summers. But, this summer, so far, we've had unseasonally hot and sunny weather, so I decided to stay away from the sewing machine this weekend, and take advantage of the sun. Was at a birthday party on Friday, in the small village where I grew up, just by the beach:

And, after a fantastic dinner and some wine, we all got to talk about how we used to go skinny-dipping after the pub, in the middle of the night, when we were young... And, would you believe it, at 2 a.m. we were quite a few of us who found ourselves in the ocean, LOL! Felt like being 18 again

Luckily, the lighthouse didn't shine all the way down to the beach

Hi Meq, sorry it is so hot and sticky in your neck of the woods.
Lee, I am SO glad to read that all is well in the end. Good for you not to have to stay behind anymore after your DH's last trip.
Maria, lol you did what? Yeacks, what was the waters temp?
I love the European beaches. Nice to go walking on.
Nice pictures. Jeff told me how nice the weather is being in Scnadinavia. Enjoy.
I took my own car out for a ride this afternoon with the top down. I was going to buy a few things at Lowes because I received a $10 off coupon when you spend $50. Duh.... I forgot to bring the coupon, so I ended up buying nothing, but sure had fun looking through their entire store. After that I made a stop at the Sushi House nd ordered a small hot sake and a maxi roll. *Yum*
Now I'm back home with a head ache. Guess an advil for me and then I'll see what else I'll do for today.

Hi Everyone,
Seems like it is a lazy Sunday for me. After early Mass and breakfast I took a long nap! Guess I was more tired than I thought. I have re-read my notes from my online MQ Class and embroidered two more butterfly blocks with antenae. I really need to go for a walk now and then fix dinner. It is a beautiful day here - in the low 70s. I will be back later.

Tulpje, sorry to hear about the headache.
LOL, what we did? We dropped our party clothes on the beach and went for a swim (well, more like a very very quick dip really)... Just like the old days! The wather temp was probably around 65 F or so...

Good Evening Every One
Just said good-bye to my DD..she's off to spend a couple days with her Dad & his wife. Sure pulls at the heart strings to see her go! She'll be with him until he takes her to the MSP airport tuesday nite--but they'll stop by my office on their way so I can get another good-bye hug!
She was out visiting cousins and friends this afternoon, so after I mowed the lawn, killed some weeds, and trimmed I came into work on my baby quilt. Had to take a break as my shoulders are a little sore. Going to go back down here in a few minutes and see if I can finish it up. Would love to get the binding on tonite too, but may crash on the couch instead!
The mosquitos are definately out here in MN... our state "bird" The weather has been very muggy all day and it looks like rain any minute-which would be fine as I threw a little grass seed down on some empty spots this afternoon.
Well, I better get back to it... have a pile of laundry to fold too!
Have a great evening all and a GREAT week ahead

Hey y'all...no sewing for me today--boo hoo--had to work all day, had a beer with dinner and if I tried to do anything now I would probably sew through a finger! LOL
Off work tomorrow and we need to go to the library for a new bedtime read-aloud. We finished "The Pearls of Lutra" last night; it was one of the better books in the "Redwall" saga. It is MY TURN to pick what book to read, have a couple ideas in mind, but haven't made a final decision yet.
My DFIL and DSIL are coming to visit this week---Pop hasn't been out here in 6 years. I hope we get moderate weather for their stay, and that SIL and I can sneak out together for a bit on our own. She is a hoot! Probably won't be able to sew, so will get Sadie into the shop for a tune-up. When her bobbin case gets noisy, I know it's time. I have Flossie the 401 to play with if I get lonely. I may buy her a walking foot this week so she can come out and play more often.
Boy, that beer is making me sleepy...wish I could go crawl into bed!
