Oh, i'll do this. I've been wanting to make a quilt to take to the beach. Can you sign up for 2 spaces as long as the 2 sets are different?

I don't see why you can't sign up for 2, since you will be doing 2 different sets.

I will sign you up.

I'm having a hard time finding "beach" fabric. Where are you all shopping?

I've located one but I think I'm going to need 3 yards (different) to get the 8 inch squares.

I got some of my fabrics at my LQS and also at Hancocks. Linda, I am not sure I understand what you mean by 3 yards (different). Do you mean 1 1/2 yrds of two different designs?

SewSew, I was figuring I would need 4 yards, so was getting 4 different fabrics, 1 yard each. That is if I can find 4 different fabrics. Otherwise I'll get 2 yards of 2 different fabrics. Right now I have 3 different fabrics, 1 yard each but one of them may not be what I want to use. I haven't been to Joann's yet and there a two other LQS that I can go and look in. I think I have confused myself with this post! LOL

Bottom Line:
How much fabric is everyone getting of EACH fabric?

It depends if you want to make all your sets the same, which is perfectly okay with me. You will need 1 to 1 1/4 yards of each fabric of two different fabrics to get 20 eight inch squares of each one. Before going out to buy more fabric I would cut out what I already have and then see if you need more. Remember only 2 squares per bag are needed.

If I sign up for the swaps, I get to clean out come of the fabric that I have collected over the years and DH thinks I am getting rid of stuff. Little does he realize (or care for that matter) that I need to buy more because of the need (addiction) I have for fabric. Well, as long as I get involved in this and I am happy, he is happy. SO; SIGN ME UP FOR 1 set at this point.

Diana :-)

(Had to change the spelling of addiction.)
