Tennessee Waltz variation Wall hanging my first hand quilting adventure

Post by majik47 » Wed Jun 04, 2008 3:41 am

This is another one of those "I just have to try" patterns. I had some scraps from another project and pieced part of the blocks by hand while we were on summer camping trips. There are a lot of miiles on this wall hanging

I got the blocks set and throughout the rest of last summer, while camping I used a large embroidery hoop and hand quilted the project.
It hangs on the wall of my quilting space, an imspiration and proof that I can not only do things the new way, but also follow old traditions.
It was fun to do and every time I look at it, it brings good thoughts.

Nice job, I have often thought of bringing things along on camping trips but was afraid of the dirt. How did you keep it clean.

Very nice! Wow, hand piecing, that I am afraid of, but I'm not a good hand sewer even to close a small seam. Great job!

This is very pretty. I too like to do things the old way sometimes. Makes me appreciate all the new and modern technology we have even more.
