Right! Memorial Day. I had forgotten that living up here in Canada. We had our 3 day weekend last week.
It's 5pm Easter Time. Anyway around?
What are we sewing?

I'm here in front of the fireplace. weather is cold, rainy and just plain nasty outside. No real Memorial day type of weather where you kick off the BBQ season.
I played with baby El a bit today. but mainly have done some chores after knocking back a nasty head ache.
Pepper Dawg is snoring on the couch, baby birds are fed and looking good.
Can't wait untill I'm done with my DM quilt top. (Delect. Mount.)

Hi Everyone,
I just loaded up a quilt I am doing for Quilts of Valor. Going to start quilting soon. And I have all the panels quilted and ready for assembly for another Charm Party Tote. Addictive.LOL We are going to see a play tonight in San Francisco and then I plan on staying up late to play and sew. We don't need to leave until 7pm so I have 3.5 hours now to sew like crazy:)

Hi all.... (((wave))))
I'm going to try to get an angel block together at least maybe cut out.
What is everyone doing for Memorial Day? I will be here by myself as my husband has to work all weekend.

Hi ladies, looks like all of you are planning on sewing time.
Hopefully I get some more sew and quilt time in also.
I just got finnished scrubbing the upstairs bath-rooms. I'm getting old to get poopped out so fast these days. never enough hours in a day.
Nursing buddy called me this morning to see if I was ready to come back to work. We'll see about that. gotta get my 30 CEU's in and maybe I'll do a shift a week.
*C* is it nasty and rainy weather up where you live as well?
Is ANY one planning on doing a BBQ this weekend?
Maybe I should reward myself with some sewing time since I've been doing extra chores. YaY, that nasty head ache is gone.

I am sure sewing tonight - and all weekend. What a perfect way to spend a holiday!
Eric (sil) is coming home this week from Iraq so I HAVE to get this quilt done. The top is almost together - but I think I need to go to the shop tomorrow and get some blue for the border. I hadn't thought of that before. I do have green, but I think a "Welcome Home Soldier quilt needs to be bordered in blue.
I will be checking in all evening.
Back to the quilt. teehee - This is so much fun!!!!

My machine is "sick" so I have to use the back up one. I have some catch up things to do, so hopefully while my good one is at the sewing maching hosptial I can get some other things done.

Hi, ya'll! Well, I decided I'd better come to the Sew-In because after not being on the forum much this past week, I saw that some hooligans have started an Intervention for my fabric!!!! I'm SCARED to stay away now! LOL!
DH and I are going to the cabin tomorrow a.m. for the Mem. Day weekend and just relax. I am so looking forward to it!
I decided to make a Double Wedding Ring quilt and started piecing it this afternoon. I was hesitant because it's a hard pattern to piece, but so far it's going real well. It's a queen size kit of pre-cut laser pieces (thank goodness I don't have to cut thousands of those little pieces!) of 1930's repros. I've done one block just to see if I could make all that curved piecing come out how it's supposed to....now I only have 155 more blocks to go! ROFLOL! Actually, it's a lot of fun and it's scarier to think about doing than it actually is. That's kinda my style anyway, just dive right into something and give it a whirl, what's the worst that could happen???!!!
I have REALLY missed ya'll, looking forward to chatting and catching up this weekend!
