1st completed quilt

Post by jacquie2 » Sun May 18, 2008 10:07 am

Ok, my embroidered baby quilt is finished and now in the hands of the proud grandparents!! Grandma was almost in tears when she saw the whole quilt. We took Grandma and Grandpa to breakfast, and they opened it there -- My DH had to show it off to the neighboring tables. Waitress wanted him to parade it through the whole restruant, but he couldn't do that. Sorry the photos didn't turn out too good, but I just have a hard time seeing what i'm doing with this camera. And yes, this is my first finished quilt. I have a couple of wall hangings and a bunch of tops, but this is the first quilt.

Very nice Quilt Jacquie. How sweet of you to make this for the grand parents. I have not tried a piano border yet, yours looks very cute.

Your quilt turned out so very pretty. Those are some lucky grandparents to have such a special quilt for when the grandbaby visits.

It is adorable!!!! How sweet of your DH to show it off. Looks like you really put a lot of work into the individual panels. The colors and border/sashings are perfect!

That's just too cute. Nice embroidery of those little animals. I don't blame your DH for wanting to show it off.
