Maybe your bro and his wife will work things out...? I would do just about anything to prevent breaking up our family. Sad situation.

Are you folks in the northern midwest getting some nicer weather? We are on day one of a heat wave, was probably close to 90 today. My kids and I laid low and watched movies; Ma took several naps...the heat really wipes her out.

Thanks Carol, I hope they work it out too.... as long as they're happy. She hasn't been happy for over a year. Hope she gets things straightened out for herself.

We were actually in the 70s today!!! It was a beautiful day on Lake Michigan... It's supposed to rain tomorrow, and a little Sunday. At least it's not snowing!!! Trees are budding, tulips are coming up.... my eyes are watering... lol

Hi everyone!!!
I have been moving things around in my family room. In the winter it doubles as my quilt room as the heat is more cosistent. The porch I use in the summer just has a space heater and I don't see why I should use it when I have this larger room that is heated. My pc is in there and my piano. I have tables that we use it for the family get togethers. In a week this room will have a crib-for my GD to sleep in.
My little dog rolled in something yucky and had a bath. She smells much better.
I bought more fabric tonight. I need to find time to sew-hmmmm-a lot going on for the next few weeks. I am keeping my porch clear of all baby things. That will be my room and I can go there and get away from the stuff going on in here.
Who else bought more fabric??

Hi Lori...didn't realize you had popped in a while ago. I don't enjoy sewing clothes. I'd rather quilt! But I do love sewing Halloween costumes for my kids...I love the discussing, planning, trips to the store...and then seeing them in their costumes is so much fun! In all their lives, they have had boughten costumes only twice.

Hi kho! I woke up this morning to three poo streaks from doggy butt on the rug. EEEEEWWWW! I was nice, didn't make Ma clean it up (it's her dog!). Gave the youngest a quick lesson in stain removal, and went on with my day. The dog has been contrite.

Off to watch M*A*S*H...back later!

Hi Everyone-- I'm still working on the binding of this baby quilt. I'm hand basting the folded edge prior to sewing. This Minkee moves around alot and I sure don't want it to slip. Hopefully the hand basting will work.

I got my sale fabric yesterday -- I'm really please with it. I may have to order another red -- this one was all Xmas fabric. That is great, but I really need some just regular reds too. Did anyone else order the reds and if so did you get just Xmas fabric or regular reds? My packer forgot to include the book I ordered, nor did I get the free gift. I called QIAD and let them know, I expect I'll have that package early next week.

I had ordered one package of each color -- I shouldn't have to buy fabric for awhile <g> and I'm really please with the selections. There were quite a few pieces I really, really like...some that hhmmmm, I could live without -- and quite a few that I would not have purchased, but they are really nice --- out of 60 cuts, there are only two pieces that I truely do not like. I think that is pretty good odds.

I have a horrible problem when I go to the LQS around here -- I just get overwhelmed and can't decide on anything. I either walk out empty handed or just buy to have fabric. So having the fabric already picked out, sure did make it easy for me. yippee!!!
Happy Trails, jacquie

Hi everyone! Man, today has been crazy! The owner of the horsefarm I work for came in from NJ and we had a "sit in" about my farm mgr who we "think" has been taking money. I've been at work since 9 and got home at 7:30, had dinner, sat outside while the gkids are outside playing. I have a baby quilt to finish and the baby was born this afternoon with complications. they are asking no visitors until later. I'm really scared for them. I bought the material for the border, backing and binding today at lunch for it. I really should get in there and finish it, but I'm jsut worn out from the stress of this thing at work. I thought I'd check things out here and then see how I felt.
