That sounds good, DJ! How about World's Fair for my second one.

Also, does it matter what colors we use for the background/coordinating fabrics for our theme blocks? Can we just choose colors that blend with our butterfly prints? And they can be any size from 6" to 12" finished?

For the second set of butterfly pieced or appliqed blocks, we can use any light color background, correct? For the butterflies are there any restrictions? I'm thinking ahead.

Gwen - any kind of butterfly for the second round but stay with the size between 6 1/2 - 12 1/2. Butterfly theme blocks should be 12 1/2" and the fabrics can coordinate with your butterfly theme fabric.

Okay, that sounds good! I've got my butterfly fabric and hope to get started on my Ohio Stars very soon!

I just know that this is going to make a very cheerful quilt!

I've been working on my Ugly Swap project today--- and got my block made for the mystery quilt! It's been kinda drizzly, so the perfect day to stay in and sew!

If possible - I'd like to do Puss in the Corner and Rail Fence for my two butterfly theme blocks. I have several ideas / but haven't decided yet on the 2nd set of applique or other style Butterfly Blocks.
If these are taken - just let me know and I'll find another - no problem.

For my second theme block I was wondering if it would be ok to make a Hexagon Grandmother's flower garden flower out of butterfly material (a single flower) and appliqué it on a square plain block? Or are you looking for pieced blocks.
