Thank you all for your kind words. That's the first attempt at a log cabin. I'm sure I'll make more in the future.

This block will be framed somehow and used as decor in the living room or in our hall wall.

Part of the appeal to making decor blocks is that I don't have to quilt them! My injured shoulder, and a very basic machine, make for a frustrating 'quilt' experience.

I'll just be piecing blocks for the next several months, I think.
