Kathy -

Absolutely gorgeous!

Yes, please tell your son that we thank him for serving our country. Also, thank YOU for allowing your son to be in harm's way for our country.

THANK YOU all so very much for the wonderful comments! It made me cry to read all of them. I am making a 'note card' for him to go with the quilt and will add your comments to it.

I didn't believe I could do something like this until I came here. I had so much support from all of you. I am so excited to have this made. I do want to take it with me to my mom's to show her. That is why I will wait to finish it. I think that carrying the whole quilt will be too big on the plane and I don't have time to get it quilted before I leave. Once I return I'll get it finished.

Thank you so much for the support of my son. He loves being a Marine even if I have some reservations. I am very PROUD of him and do support him but am scared at the same time. He and all the others serving our country will always be remembered NEVER forgotten.
HUGS and LOVE,
Kathy

Nice looking son you've got there, Kathy. (And you're cute too!) That will be wonderful to give him a card that conveys all of our good wishes & gratitude to him & all the others in our military. We are so very grateful to them all!

Hi Kathy:
Your quilt looks really nice. I love that pattern. I made one for my sister at Christmas in Christmas fabrics. You were asking me about a longarm qulting star design. I do have a picture of one. You can go to the following to see it:

Let me know what you think.....

Kathy...your quilt is beautiful! I'm sure your son will love it! The colors and fabrics you chose are perfect...I love patriotic colors and quilts. Please tell your son thank you for doing all he does for our country!! I am so proud of him and all that serve our country. It seems we just don't do enough for them, considering all they do for us!! May God bless your son and all our service men and women!!!

Hip-Hip-Hooray! Your patriotic quilt is gorgeous! I know it is going to a special (and well-deserving) Marine! Tell your son I appreciate all that he sacrifices for those of us back home. I 'salute' him for his service and I 'salute' you for your top-notch quilt. I know he will cherish it!
