And of course you ladies know, I've never had to deal with these situations or repair men. That's why I called my DB, he works for the Architact of the Capitol and is a heating and refrigeration person. You know, keeping all those Senators and Congressman - warm in the winter and cool during the summers. So they have plummers as well - he sent one of his buddies over. I checked with some others today and was told I made out like a bandit. Replacing pipes are expensive not to mention he also checked my garbage disposal and didn't like the way it sounded so he repaired that as well.

Alina - wish I could send DB down to help you out. It must be just aweful for the boys. My DGSs can't stand being hot. I tried taking them to the park on Saturday and Joshua-Tyler said it was too hot when he got to the door and Michael said the sun was hurting his body. LOL.

LOL! Kids say the cutest things--- and he's really right-- that sun isn't so good for you! Use sunscreen! :-)

I'm glad you were able to get your plumbing problem fixed! What a headache-- but how nice that your DB was able to help you out!

I'm hoping to try my Sunbonnet Sue today-- I've never made one before, so we'll see how it goes. I'm planning to use El's fusible method and just machine stitch the edge. First, I need to check my stash for reds-- don't have many at all... If it turns out decent, I'd be willing to make one for the Soldier Quilt, unless someone else is doing it. I think I'll use a light blue for the sky-- it looks like that's what's on the picture... I'll post a picture when she's done...

YIPEEEE!~~~ :-) Can't wait to see all those patriotic blocks!

I made my Sue block, and it turned out good (I think, anyway)--- I'll try to post a picture. DJ, if you need one for the Soldier Quilt, let me know and I will make one for you -- if someone else if doing it, that's fine-- just wanted to offer... :-)

Thanks so much for doing this swap for us--- especially with all the stuff going on in your life right now!

Here's Sue. I haven't trimmed the block to size yet, and I still have to add the balloon strings..
She is anxious to meet Sam! ;-)

DJ, I think your Sue is adorable! It looks like the wind is blowing her dress---- really cute! :-)

My Mom bought me 3 BIG rolls of lace (red, black and white) a while back (at a yard sale) and I've been trying ever since to use some of it up.. It's amazing how far that stuff goes! LOL
