1. When you sign up for this swap, you are signing up to make TWELVE units or sets to be sent to me. I will then take all the sets and turn them into kits. Once returned, sew blocks together and add a border - the top is done.

2. If you sign up for an applique block, you will need to make sure there are NO RAW EDGES. Many will want to wash this quilt and it must be washable. It would be alright to use a light fusible product.

3. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU WASH YOUR FABRICS. This is critical with the dark blue and reds so that they don’t run or bleed!!! As before, please use your stash if you can.

4. Color placement is key, please match the fabric colors used on your block(s) as closely as possible. If everyone used white backgrounds the quilt won't look the same.

Alina - I have taken the bluebird. Find your own pattern or draw your own - it doesn't matter. But I'll switch to Suspender Sam if you like. Seeing as you probably are tired of boats at this point. LOL. I thought about you when I posted this Sampler. It would be nice wall hanging for the boys room during the summer. My DGSs room is blue and white with accents of red.

So they aren't any set patterns and size for this swap? I'll do the 12 1/2 in ship if I can find a pattern. Would you hold this for me until I can get back with you on finding a pattern? ~Abbigail~

I'm sorry. Yes, the sizes are listed after each block. You can find the ship in El's book. Its the same one used for the Underground Railroad quilt. Here is the link for Summer Winds: http://www.quiltindex.com/StarryNight3.aspx. And here is the link for the Ship:

The Courthouse Steps, Coxey's Camp, Ohio Star and Rail Fence are in quilterscache. The others can be found on the web. But I can assist if someone can't find a pattern.

Alina - just make sure the boys eat. LOL. Alina - if you can't find a bluebird let me know. DH is an artist, I can get him to whip something up.

I'm trying to give you girls enough time to work on projects. In my other online group the average swap time is 3 to 4 weeks. However, I have 3 swaps that will be ending in a couple weeks. So I really wanted to get in another Red White and Blue quilt for the upcoming holidays.
