MeQ, the tortellini salad is one of those "throw in what you want" kinda dishes...buy the frozen tortellini and cook them per package directions. Then blanch them well in cold water and drain thoroughly.

You can add pieces of ham (BLISS!), peas, shredded or cubed cheese, pieces of brocolli, shredded carrot, diced sweet peppers, anything your little heart and taste buds desire. DH doesn't care for ham, so I chop a beef summer sausage and throw that in. Once you have emptied out your veggie drawer, stir in some ranch dressing. Throw it all in the fridge to chill. YUM YUM YUM! Very nice on a warm day, served with crackers or some garlic bread.

Dang, I'm sitting here salivating!!!

Wow, that sounds very good, and we have left over ham.

Oasis, make plenty, 'cause it is plenty good!

Oh, good, Ma's in the shower...now I won't need to nag her to go take a nap! I can probably get some lunch down her in an hour or two, too.

It was a group effort last night. I think littlebit came up with the solution to having to keep going back and forth, in and out to keep up with the conversations.

Carole, when you move you will only be about 1/2 hour from Julian and El's retreats. You luck person! My friend drives a special needs student from Borrego everyday up to Ramona. She sent me a picture of a camel grazing out in one of the fields. Anyway she said last week she saw baby camels. Maybe you can trade in your car and ride a camel up to Julian for the parades and quilts shows. That would make an impression!!!!!!

Oasis, I am already blessed to be within a reasonable drive of the retreat campsite...and it's a pretty drive as well! Since we are heading northeast, though, I will be even closer. It's pretty country out there, can be hot and miserable sometimes, but I can deal with that!

Here is the camel. It can be hot and miserable anywhere I guess, but country living would be so nice.

Curses, foiled again! Opened up my UFO box, pulled out quilt top and the border fabrics, only to find one of them hasn't yet been washed--! DRAT! Ma just turned the shower off so I'll get it into the washing machine for a quick swish through.

I am looking forward to moving out to the sticks--! Much more fun for our kids while they are still young enough to enjoy it, much more peaceful and relaxing for us old farts as well! lol

And thanks for the cool picture of the camel! There are ostrich farms in the area as well!
