Hi All.........since we can't be in Paducah, let's get together here for a nice visit. I'll be leaving in a few minutes for supper out & then I'll be back for the night. See you later!!

Hi everyone. Yeah, I have to cook something for supper too. I found a recipe for crab cakes I thought I would try. What is everyone working on today. DD and I made another purse this morning. They go fast with both of us working on them. Be back later, I still have some housework to do.

Hey, y'all...gosh, it's almost 1430 already! We went out around 0930 to go check some property we are buying; it needed cleanup and the owner REALLY came through. We should close escrow on Wednesday; I can hardly believe it! The owner walked us all around the property, showed us all the lot lines. By the time we got done stomping around, it was nearly noon and the girls were very hungry, so we stopped in at a little cafe and got some lunch before we headed back home.

I did do a little sewing this morning, hand stitched a binding onto the back of a QIAD log cabin Christmas wreath wallhanging. I may do some more if I don't nod out over it this afternoon!

Congratulations on the property! Do you feel like you need to pinch yourself to see if it is real? It is really wonderful that you were able to close the escrow so fast too!

I finished sewing the first of bow ties and I need to square them up tonight. Unfortunately I had to take my sewing machine to the repair shop. It runs beautifuly and sews beautifully. Yesterday, the computer decided to turn off that beautiful sewing, I tried restarting and it would sew for a few minutes then the same thing happened. I have my old Elna and I will be using that until the new Bernina is repaired.

I am so happy to find out where the "sew-in" is. I have read about them. So happy to be here. Is it always here??

I went to my BOM class this morning. Have you ever heard of putting a "frame" around your block? This is the first I ever heard of it. When the top is all together it gives you secondary design. I am going to work on my 2ed block and put a 2ed boarder on my last BOM top.

Hi Kathysquilts - Welcome to the sew-in! Yes, the sew-ins are here on Friday, Saturday and Sundays. Everyone is pretty busy today it looks like. Last night it looks like the sew-in had conversations with those in Paducah, but they have the party tonight so I doubt we hear anything.

What pattern is the block are you making in your class?

Hello Ladies! Here for a minute then got to go sew a binding on a Qu sz quilt so I can hand sew it to the backing. It is a beautiful day here & got up to 82 degrees with little wind! That is a rareity for here. No wind. LOL

Kathy the Sew-In are usually on Friday & Saturday evenings or whenever someone wants to start one.
